Specification
We recognise that individuals have varying needs, and provide a bespoke design service to give you the freedom to express yourself, as well as our award winning range. As established garden building designers we are able to bring a wealth of knowledge and unique design style to any project whatever the size.
We have two styles we like to use, they come in a standard size for those who want a building quick. All other buildings are done 'Bespoke' and to the customer's requirements, this way each is building is unique.
Foundations
Our buildings require a solid and level area such as a patio to locate your office/studio. We can install this for you or you can use a 'local builder' to do this for you.
Depending upon access and ground conditions, we use two types of foundations, a 'full concrete slab' or a 'pad foundation system'.
Both options are suitable, we prefer the 'pad system' as it uses less concrete and more sustainable materials, like timber.
Structural Frame
The quality of our frames are an important part of the whole structure of each building. We only use 'CLS' pine timbers across out whole range.
We also include all the necessary 'breather membranes' and 'damp proof courses'.
Windows & Doors
Quality joinery is our passion. We have taken great care to ensure the best 'British-made' timber windows and doors we could find. Whichever style you choose, you can be asured it will be British-made.
With 24mm Pilkinglton'K' double-glazing as standard, FSC accreditation, a choice of colours and 'Secure By Design' locks on all windows and doors with police aproval, ensures you can insure you building with confidence.
Cladding
We use Western Red Cedar to clad all our buildings, this has its own guarantee of 20 years plus due to the very nature of Western Red Cedar. We also can clad your building in any other available claddings to suit your budget / plans.
We ensure ALL our timber comes from either 'FSC' or 'PEFC chain of custody' so that we can be curtain of its sustainability.
Western Red Cedar is maintenace-free, so you get more time to enjoy your new building without the need to maintain it every few years.
Insulation
To minimise running costs and to ensurea warm and comfortable environment we fill every single bit of our office/studio's with 'eco-friendly recycled insulation'. That means every part of the frame including the floor, walls and roof are all jam-packed with high performance insulation, often giving better thermal performance than your own home !!
We currantly use insulations that are made from EPS and recycled bottles, we try hard to give you the best products in out continuous effort to improve our environmental impact.
Roof
Solid Apex roof design, clad with high quality Western Red Cedar - Needs no maintenance and will last a lot longer than a flat roof due to the fact that there is NO standing water at any time.
'Velux' roof windows are also another option, for extra light.
Electrics
Every office/studio comes with a 'complete electic package' that includes power sockets, lighting and heating.
4 double sockets, 1 ceiling light, 1 electic fire.
(Other options are available on request at extra cost)

Flooring
All office's / studio's are fitted with top quality flooring to make your new space a 'home from home ' feel. We fit laminate flooring as its easy to clean and very hardwarering, other options can be used to suit Your requirements.
Internal decor
We aim to make your new office / studio as comfortable a place to be as your own living space as this is the space you will be in the most. We use 'MFC' Boarding (FSC accredited), which is wipe clean, and a fresh clean finish with no visable joins, available in many colours. You could choose 'plaster boarding' and painted to a colour of you own choice, there would be a charge for this but it is another option to think about.
